Mailman List Subscriber Use

Individual subscriber options
Individual subscriber settings including; subscription status, password
and how you receive list messages are controlled from a specific Web address.
http://maillist.cityofloveland.org/mailman/listinfo/listname/
(where listname is replaced with the actual name of the list).

At the bottom of the List Info page enter your list subscription email address and
choose the "Unsubscribe or Edit options" button. You will be prompted for your list password.

You can also make such adjustments via email by sending a message.
For example to automatically unsubscribe from a list send a message to:
listname-request@maillist.cityofloveland.org with the word "unsubscribe"
in the subject or body (don't inclue the quotes and substitute the actual list name for 'listname').

To recieve a message with all the mail command options and instructions send the
message with the word "help" in the subject or body (don't include the quotes).

Access a List's Message Archives
Each mailing list may have its messages automatically archived. This can be
useful for newcomers who want to catch up with the discussion or for posting and
archiving FAQs.

To access the archives of a particular list, go to the list's information page: http://maillist.cityofloveland.org/mailman/listinfo/listname/
and follow the link to the list's archives.

Sending mail to list subscribers
When a message is to be distributed to the subscribers of a Mailman list, it must be addressed to the list's address. For example, to post to a list called IT, you send mail to IT@maillist.cityofloveland.org

All lists on the Mailman server at maillist.cityofloveland.org have email addresses of the form:
<listname>@maillist.cityofloveland.org

Messages sent to these addresses first go to the Mailman server. Mailman receives the message and processes it, checking for errors and following the rules established by the list owners. If a message is valid, a copy is forwarded to each of the list's subscribers.

Moderators
Moderators can go to their list's moderation page at
http://maillist.cityofloveland.org/mailman/admindb/listname/
when there are subscription requests or messages to be moderated.
